$2!!!! I got this for $2!!!

I got this at the thrift shop which I call the thrift shop at the Ethel Church, it has some tapes on meditation and such in it but I just wanted it for the box, it says its made by the library Bureau, this sucker is heavy!!!

he has pitting and there are cracks in his base, but he is cute, he is a lighter and a music box, he plays "Smoke gets in your eyes" ha!

Turkey Platter

I got this at the Ethel Church this weekend, it is enamel, just in time for Thanksgiving!(it was $1.50)

Cold out!!!

it has just been too darn cold, in the 30's, we haven't even gotten the leaves up and its just too cold to rake them!!!! I went outside to rake for a bit and I am so achy!!!! OUCH~~~ that's why most of the people have landscapers around here!!! 2 more days until Thanksgiving!!!!! I cannot wait!!!

Wood Blank Purse, I think its vintage but I am not sure, it has a tag that says Made in Hong Kong, that's why I thought it was old, is it a future Enid? should I decoupage it? hmmmm many possibilities!

and I was shocked that I was there so late and this was there, no flaws, the one lady told me that it might have been under the table in a box that no one saw, there is no way that this would stay withourt being snatched up!!!! there are too many collectible dealers here!!!!

Good Housekeeping Appetizer book, It was a quarter at a church rummage sale this past weekend, its dated 1958, I love this shrimp display on the back cover and the food on toothpicks coming out of the candle - I am eyeing up some of the gross recipes for my yearly holiday party.........


Bookmark, I bought this big book with these magazines called Ideals in it from the 50's and this was on one of the pages, its made of a thin plastic

Teen Idol New Years Noisemaker

I ran quickly through the flea market today and I got this for a dollar, look at all the girls heads looking at him!

I saw this at a church Rummage sale and I had to have it, the instructions are on the back on how to make your own toothpick tree centerpiece!!! I will have the classiest centerpiece on the block!!!! look at the next photo for the instructions!!


I thought of sparkleneely's(flickr) Mid Century Suppers when I saw this

Toothpick Tree centerpiece Instructions, it just comes with the small styrofoam balls and none of the other things you need, I dont know if I will open this one or just get some other small styrofoam balls at the craft store and try it

it says 75 to 100 toothpicks per ball, this must take forever!!!

Lookeee the apron I found

I made this on the computer, the woman I think is from a kraft ad and I keep this in my kitchen then look at the picture before this to see the apron I got for 50 cents


LOOK the wording is a tad different but I love it!!!

I went back to the thrift shop

I noticed that there was a metal holder inside the planter part and I had grabbed it out of a box that had JUST came in to the shop and I remember seeing this piece of glass in the box and that night I figured the metal holders were to hold the glass , so I went back and asked the women who were different from Tuesday(its only open tues, friday and sat) and I mentioned the glass and they both yelled it was in the garbage pail, so they took it out and gave it to me, it fIt perfectly!!!!

An election day win!

I went to the thrift shop during lunch and got this TV lamp and the yellow pyrex in the next picture $5 for both!







I won!!

Ok I just won $20 for spending $2

(yeah so I really won $18)



Plus I voted, there was no one there on the line I was all alone! I went right after work and I voted for who hopefully will be our next President :)

My Pumpkin display, not as much as Doublewinky(On Flickr), I put this out on October 1st thinking of Doublewinkys last years photo, my childhood pumpkin candy bucket looked like the two in ths picture, it crumbled from age, I was so sad, these two are close looking but don't have the same texture
