It was a fair day garage saling nothing that exciting out there............I got some things but nothing earth shattering

I got my new cell phone and you can download free ringtones, so I got a thing in the mail and one on the internet, I got the old fashioned phone ring, it doesn't sound that great but its still cute

Then I looked forever for a song, I don't want the latest top 40 song,

No Jam, but they did have Paul Weller, no Specials and the Squirrel Nut Zippers song wasn't the real song, I wanted Sway by Dean Martin but they didn't have it.....No Roxy Music or even any Bryan Ferry!!!! I even looked at Nat King Cole but they didn't have my favorite of his -His Version of Stardust - I was even tempted By Moon River - Andy Williams or Lust for Life Iggy Pop - Finally I decided on "Beans & Cornbread" by Louis Jordan I like it a lot! :) (either that or Caldonia!)

I did got to the Ethel church and I saw Vaxgirl(link on right!) I didn't have much time since I had to run, she gave me a lovely gift she picked up from a sale at an animal shelter - I am always telling her my woes every time I see her(stuff I don't put up on the blog!) Poor Vaxgirl!

Playground ball - New in the box for a dollar! the skulls are on both sides, I was rushing home from the thrift shop and I stopped at a garage sale, later on I saw that this was from Target.


A tablecloth I got for a dollar later on at a garage sale - I will put this in my cabin, if I had a cabin......


Salt & Peppers missing their mates - I felt bad for these two, I got them at a garage sale, the woman told me that the frog would bring me luck


A Chia head I got NEW IN THE BOX for 50cents - I got it a while ago and started it the other day

Lost in the Supermarket

Wow I have done such exciting things, I cleaned the rug this week with the steam cleaner, I think it needs a second time!

I worked really hard and exercised.

Saw My Nieces & nephews and went food shopping, I went with my sister, her hubby and My Niece & Nephew and my other Niece, my brothers kid

My nephew is Obsessed with touching his sisters ears, when we ask him why he says "I touch them because they are soft"


Its just one exciting thing after another!!!

I don't know what's hot on TV anymore, I am obsessed with reruns of Queer as folk, dang I love that show, I did watch the daytime Emmys snooze(while I rode my stationery bicycle), nothing exciting there!

Couple of sales, couple of thrift shops, wait, maybe I didn't go to any this week, It think that is a first! No I didn't, I didn't go to any shops!

I stopped by the train station in Bellmore to check out the flea market though.......

This weekend is Father's day so my sister is having a Barbeque on Sunday


Ahhh I am going to the thrift shop tomorrow, the Ethel Church! :) See that counts!

I normally don't like Models at all, they are just not my type but I stop because of the wonderful song(Anyone Who had a heart -Orig done by Dionee Warwick, Burt Bacharach and Hal David) and the cute guy on the commercial for Polo Black(Ralph Lauren) his name is Nacho Figueras and he is a REAL polo player who splits his time between, Florida, Argentina(his birthplace) and SAG HARBOR LONG ISLAND(HERE!!) anyway I Love Sag Harbor, he is probably is the age of someone who could be my son!

Sharon Came up from the basement - ever since I moved shes been down there and just comes up to model clothes for ebay, I got her at a garage sale for $25 and they told me I had to keep the name Sharon


Hula Sharon - She will hang out for a bit upstairs in her Hula garb - The hula Skirt is from a garage sale for 50 cents i think, still in the plastic bag, I bought a bunch of them in hopes of me having a Hawaiian party, it was leftovers from someones block party (the lei was from a party and the shell bra from the dollar store, the wig was bought discounted many years ago in california in 1986, I have pictures of people in california wearing that wig......)

Its a lamp, lighter, clock!

I got this on saturday, its a clock, lamp and a lighter, the clock and lighter part are not working anymore - is it tacky, Why yes it is!!!!

Bird Lots

I returned my cell phone for a camera one and on the way back I stopped at the thrift shop and found my Man, he was a dollar!


Then I saw a Garage sale and I got this for a dollar, its plastic coated inside and out, I am a sucker for an old purse!


Be Afraid , be very afraid! Bird lots!!! I ran, I am not sure if it was the Hitchcock thing or fear of being pooped on!

Tuesday

I didnt even know this rose bush was here last year it was all wound up and way over the top of the bush with that little tea pot hanging on it in the back there, I pulled it out this years so I could see the flowers, Of course I was scarred by it(cuts all over my arms)

Bohack Estate Sale and Garage Sale day

As I have been going for many many years now, The town of Sea Cliff Long Island(New York) has a community wide garage sale, here is a sample of a house there





Near the end of the day they put free signs on the stuff they didn't sell and want to get rid of, this is where I got my free purse, I stopped at 3 other free spots and took NOTHING, but I did get a lot of stuff from garage sale day

got milk? this was a dollar and I put it on the front stoop(not a porch a stoop)


Its Log, its Looooog - its big its heavy, but its plaster and still works, for a buck! I always wanted one of these, my grandparents had one!

Bohack Garbage can, It is a bit rusted and needs a cleaning but its for my brother for his 40th, I hope he doesn't see this....For anyone who does not know, Bohack is a supermarket from NY that closed in 1977

Thrifting on friday

From thrift shop a dollar - I have some others like these on my desk and they have post its and paper in them

Picnic basket - it is falling apart a bit on the bottom, I am going to use it for storage, it was 50 cents in the thrift shop


On the way Home I saw signs fro a tag sale, it was pretty picked through but I managed to spend $2, here is a mini corningware, I use my other two I have to death since I started cooking!



Dixie Peach is a dollar , its in my bathroom and its just decoration!

It's Curtains for you!!!!

Attempting to sew - I cant sew for the life of me, not even a straight line, but I hemmed some curtains to hang up, just don't look closely at them!!





I finally replaced the ugly curtains on the back door! don't look close at the stitching, its all crooked!


I had these in the basement and they were curtains that needed hooks so I took the stitching out and just put a hem on top and finally hung them up, they are a heavy atomic barkcloth that I got at an estate sale!, they have a lining too!


I put lights I had lying around on my ficus then I sat in my tiki room listening to my Ipod
